72 Railway Parade - Child Care Premises

The Town of Bassendean is seeking feedback on an application to grant a development approval for a proposed child care premises at 72 Railway Parade Bassendean.

The application includes the proposed Child Care facility on the site which, under the Town's Local Planning Scheme No.10’s zoning table, is considered an ‘A’ use. This means the use is not permitted unless the local government has exercised its discretion by granting development approval, after advertising the proposal to any potentially affected landowner.

The facility will:

  • Operate from 7AM to 6PM Monday to Friday and 8AM to 1PM on Saturdays
  • Accommodate 92 children and 16 staff in its day to day operations
  • Cater for five separate groups of children aged from from newborn to 36+ months
  • Provide 32 car parking bays
  • Cover 730m2 of building area plus 647m2 of landscaped outdoor play area.

Submissions can be lodged online submission form below, by no later than 4 September 2019.

Please note: The planning application is being advertised to seek public comment on the proposal. The advertising of the planning application does not indicate any formal support of the proposal by the Town of Bassendean or the Western Australian Planning Commission.
