The Town has received many requests to extend the deadline for community feedback on the proposed convenience store (petrol station) at 72 Walter Rd East, Bassendean, and this has now been pushed back till 5pm on Tuesday 18th of September 2018.


Comments made Facebook posts will not be considered in the assessment of the application.

Proposal:

Convenience Store (Petrol Station) incorporating:

  • Retail building of approximately 150 sq.metres overall area;

  • 3 fuel bowsers which provide for 6 refuelling bays;

  • Vehicle access points on Marion St and Walter Rd East; and

  • Operating hours of 5am – 11pm, 7 days a week.

Development application Report:

A PDF of the development application report is available in the Document Library (clicking on this link will prompt a download of the document) which also includes:

  • Plans of the proposed development; and

  • A Transport Impact Statement.

How will the Application be Determined?

It is intended to refer the application to the September 2018 Ordinary Council Meeting for consideration to allow Council to make a recommendation to the Metro Central Joint Development Assessment Panel (JDAP). The JDAP will make the final decision on the application.
